Whenever we heard the word SIQUIJOR, magical creatures, quake doctors ,witches and other similar get in to our minds. This is why people are afraid to go to Siquijor. They think that when they visit the island, something bad will happen to them. Blame it to the old tales and stories of the people who have told mysteries of this nature. When someone mention this place, an individual feels fear.
I believe there may be truth in this stories or none? But there are people who have been to the island who came back home safe and sound. One of those people is me. I've been there for several times already and my stay was really full of so much fun. Siquijor is more like one of the places that I call home, it is my mommy's province. I enjoyed the warmth of the people's welcome and company. Like the other people, I, myself, have witnessed how beautiful Siquijor is.
This island is hidden and undiscovered. Eventually, it has so much to offer to it's guests and visitors. The beautiful beaches of white sands and clear water where you can sight the sunrise and sunset. This include Cocogrove in Katulayan(fourth image), Dondeezco in Dumanjug and Salagdoong in Maria. The amusing falls such as Cambugahay in Maria(second image) also the must-see churches like Saint Vincent Ferrer Church in Larena, San Isidro Labrador Churh or simply called Lazi Church(third image), Saint Francis of Asissi Church in Siquijor, Siquijor(first image) and many more. This is only to mention few.
There is so much to look forward in Siquijor. Look beyond what you can see from the outside of this island and you will find more than what you can imagine.
